Bondurant Race Car School

Based on the cars(& my looks), you can figure out that I did this back in the Nineties. I did two courses. The first one was the 2- day High Performance driving and the second one was the 4-day road racing course. I highly recommend anybody to take some type of driving lessons to make you a better, and safer driver.

  • bondurant race school-6<br /> These are skid cars. The instructor on the passenger side is controlling the hydraulics where he can give you under or over steer. I did pretty good on this exercise until the mean instructor gave me 'ice conditions' - all four wheels were raised up. I totally lost control.

  • bondurant race school-1<br /> Formula Ford: when you keep things light, you do not need much horsepower to get it going. This car is powered by a four cylinder motor- don't laugh!

  • bondurant race school-2<br /> I my opinion. This is the hardest drill to do. You approach these lights at 40 mph. At a certain point, the operator hit the lights. Two of them will turn red and one will be green. You turn the car into the green lane. Sounds simple but it is not. I got admonished for going too fast and did a 180 spin out. I had fun doing it!

  • bondurant-1<br /> This is the only shot of me in the Formula Ford. I do not know the name of the photographer who shot this. What I did is: I took a picture of a picture within the glass and frame. This should explain the 'haziness' of this picture.
