  • Torres del Paine National Park at sunrise.( Chile) Usually, these mountains are covered by clouds but....... not this time. Here is a little side story: I was out here very early in the morning in order to get the moonlight exposure( see next image). I stayed and got this shot. About ten minutes later, John Shaw and his photo-safari group marched up the little hill. I almost said to John- You're too late- the light is almost gone. John and his group stayed at a different hotel near Lago Grey and they had to travel over a horrible, bumpy road. On the other hand, I stayed at Hotel Pehoe which is on a little island on the lake. So, I had to walk 250 feet from my room to this spot.

  • We reached this glacier after a wild boat ride on Lago Grey. Boy, I got sea-sick with the boat bouncing up and down. You can see- the water is much calmer here near the glacier.

  • But, the crew needed some ice to make Pisco sour. I had to admit Pisco sour tasted so good.

  • Zorro( fox ) Vulpes _____I am not sure what kind? You can tell it was windy- look at his coat.
  • Zorro (fox); this one hung around the ranger station because people feed him.
  • Black-Necked Swan ( Cygnus melancoryphus )
  • Just to show you it is autumn.
  • Guanaco( Lama guanicoe) Watch out for these guys- they can spit at you.
