Charcoal Kilns, Death Valley

Back in 1879, Swiss engineers designed the kilns. The kilns were built by Chinese laborers. Each kiln can produced two thousand bushels of charcoal after burning pinyon logs for one week. Best part of this place is acoustic properties inside.
