Antarctica
This is a "must do" trip. The Falklands is part of this trip but it only three hours on Bleaker. So, I really do not count this as an real visit. Please refer to the Falklands gallery where I was there for two full weeks. The ship I was on is called the Akademik Sergei Vavilov. Everybody had a great time on this trip which included fantastic landscapes and impressive wildlife photography.
There is separate gallery for South Georgia and Elephant islands.
If you are thinking of going, ask me questions or contact: http://www.galapagostravel.com/SpecialTrips/antarctica.htm and ask for Mark, Julie or Deb to arrange this trip.(this gallery is complete)

Yankee Harbor: I survived the worst Zodiac ride ever in 55 knot winds. It seem like someone was throwing buckets of water on top of us. As you can see, I was totally drenched and dejected. I was convinced that my camera gear was destroyed by the salt water. What saved my equipment- the plastic laundry bag from the Vavilov covering the gear inside my backpack and the cheap yellow poncho( I bought in Ushuaia) covering my pack on the outside.
This photo was taken by Robert Coutts. Thanks Bob- very good shot- it captured the moment.
