San Juan Bautista Rib Cook Off

I finally made it to this event. I have a special interest since I like to cook ribs. I sampled four different styles. All of them, the meat stuck to the bones. You had to work it to get the meat off the bones. It appears that all the cooking is using high heat; letting the fat drip off the grill, and basting the meat- most of the cooks to that. I do a totally different style which results in meat coming off the bone without any effort. Overall, it was a very expensive lunch as they charged $7 for each sample(3 ribs). I do not know if I will come back; it would be cheaper for me to cook my own ribs.
