World Dog Surfing Championship 2023

This was a tough photo shoot as I had to deal with ocean swells with rogue waves. One lady was about to fall into the water and grabbed me to break the fall. I had two others bumped real hard. The rogue waves went up to my waist. But, I wore chest high waders. I was warm and dry.

Note: most of the participants are rescue dogs. This event raises money for Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA and Rocket Dog Rescue. Several environmental and surfing nonprofits also benefited from the fundraiser.
During this event, there were dogs available for adoption.
