Comet C/2022 E3 ZTF
This comet was hard to see IMHO. I was using a binocular, but I gave up. I resorted to using my 50mm lens and started to shoot in the general direction of the comet. Once, I spotted the "fuzzball." I knew I found it.
The C means: designation scientists give comets that take more than 200 years to orbit the sun.
2022: the year it was discovered.
E3: means that the comet was the third one discovered during the fifth half-month of that year
ZTF stands for: abbreviation for Zwicky Transient Facility, the San Diego-area observatory where the comet’s discoverers were working when they spotted it.
