Fur seal
Guadalupe fur seal.There is a fishing line wrapped around the seal's neck. It is apparent that the seal is growing around the line. Some type of animal rescue boat was called but we left before the boat could show up. BAD idea.
I found out later looking at Sanctuary cruises' facebook- there was no rescue boat. The closest boat was stationed at Sausalito so we were deceived believing that the poor animal would be rescued. As of this writing, the little guy is out in the Monterey Bay trying to remove the fishing line with its flippers.
