Falklands,UK

Also known as the Malvinas. Very cold, windy place- I have spent two weeks there- Sea Lion, Sanders,Pebble, and East Falkland islands. I came back and visited Bleaker for three hours during my Antarctica trip. The whole place is covered with dried bird poop. I really do not know why anybody wants to live there- too cold and harsh. The national pastime is gossiping. From what I heard, it is pretty bad.
If Antarctica is too expensive, try this place. You can ask me questions or contact: http://www.falklandstravel.com and ask for Sally. This gallery is complete

Red-eye

penguin

  • Sea lion caught the Gentoo
  • Walking down the beach.
  • Going out to the sea
  • The sea lion flips the penguin back and forth until the body breaks apart.
  • Absolutely brutal
  • He caught another Gentoo but this one was lucky: he died instantly.
  • This is the only animal I have ever observed where it actually posed for the camera.. the sea lion was about to leave then he stopped and turned toward us( Reinhard and I ) and looked right into the camera. On this day, the sea lion killed a total of four penguins. There was danger because he could move very fast. I can recall at least two situations where I had to pull up my equipment and ran as fast as possible.
